Food Fiber, upcycled food, blackcurrant fiber

BLACKCURRANT FIBRE

Blackcurrant fibre is an entirely natural dietary fibre derived from dried blackcurrant pomace. The pomace, predominantly composed of blackcurrant peel, is a valuable source of essential phytonutrients and antioxidants crucial for promoting good health. These include polyphenols and anthocyanins, known for their beneficial properties.

Blackcurrant fibre powder boasts substantial levels of dietary fibre, with a minimum content of 60%. This high fibre content contributes to a healthy and balanced diet, supporting digestive health and overall well-being. Incorporating blackcurrant fibre powder into your diet can provide you with the goodness of these natural components while enjoying the convenience of a versatile and easy-to-use dietary fibre supplement.

Food Fiber

The blackcurrant fibre powder is available in three different granulation levels:

  • m10 – fine powder with particles size around 10 microns
  • m20 – standard granulation with particles size around 20 microns
  • m40 – coarse powder with particles size around 40 microns
  • s400 – coarse powder with particles size around 400 microns

Blackcurrant Fiber Applications

In addition to their well-known benefits in gelling, freshness preservation, and stabilization, blackcurrant fibre offers the added advantage of being a natural colourant, particularly suited for dark (purple) marmalades and fruit fillings. Its deep, rich hue makes it an ideal choice for applications in the fish-meat and vegan industries, as well as other savoury products that require a dark colour profile.

Blackcurrant fibre is carefully produced with a two-year shelf life, guaranteeing its long-lasting quality and efficacy. It is also Kosher certified, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality and compliance. By incorporating blackcurrant fibre into your food creations, you can enhance their visual appeal and nutritional value with this versatile ingredient that offers multifunctional properties.
