Kiwi seeds, dried fruit seeds

KIWI SEEDS

Dried kiwi seeds are 100% natural products obtained through cleaning, screening, and high-temperature drying. These dried seeds are clean-label products, free from additives and without chemical processes. Notably, the seeds boast a minimum dietary fiber content of 40%.

Dried kiwi seeds are ideal natural ingredients that enhance texture and intensify the fruit essence in the final product. These seeds can be seamlessly incorporated at any stage of the production process. Thanks to their microbiological stability, dried kiwi seeds offer an extended shelf life of up to 2 years, while their small size provides a pleasant and satisfying crunch.

The kiwi fruit, originally native to central and eastern China, has a rich history. Its first recorded description dates back to the 12th century, known by its Chinese name "yang tao." Kiwi fruit cultivation in New Zealand began in the 20th century when it was initially referred to as "Chinese gooseberries." However, in 1959, the fruit was renamed "kiwi fruit" after New Zealand's national bird, the Kiwi, due to its shared characteristics of being small, brown, and fuzzy.

These tiny kiwi seeds are not only edible and offer a wealth of essential nutrients. While the nutritional content of each kiwi seed is relatively small compared to the overall fruit, it still contributes to overall nutritional intake. Notably, kiwi seeds contain valuable oil rich in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 essential fatty acid crucial for brain and heart health. They are also a rich source of vitamins C and E. Approximately 60% of the fatty acids in kiwi seed oil are omega-3s, providing additional health benefits.

Additionally, kiwi seeds contain a modest amount of dietary fiber that contributes a small but significant amount of protein. Consuming food with added kiwi seeds supplies your body with antioxidants, primarily vitamin E.

Kiwi seeds applications in food and cosmetics:

 In the food industry:

  • Fortification of various food products, including confectionery, dairy, and bakery items, to enhance their nutritional content.
  • Incorporation into protein powders to increase protein levels and provide additional health benefits.
  • Use as an ingredient in dietary supplements to support overall wellness.
  • Integration into functional foods and drinks for added functionality and nutritional value.
  • Application in sports nutrition products to aid in performance and recovery.

In the cosmetic industry:

  • Utilization as a natural exfoliant in body and facial products, promoting gentle removal of dead skin cells and revealing a smoother complexion.
  • Adding wholesome texture to soaps and scrubs, enhancing their sensory experience and effectiveness.
  • Incorporation into cosmetic formulations forits beneficial properties, such as moisturization and nourishment.

With their versatile nature, strawberry seeds can be used to fortify food products, create protein powders and dietary supplements, develop functional foods and drinks, enhance skincare products through exfoliation, and add texture to soaps and scrubs in the cosmetic industry.
